The Sixth Chapter

¹ As we work together with him, we urge you also not to accept the grace of God in vain. ² For he says, "At an acceptable time I have listened to you, and on a day of salvation I have helped you."See, now is the acceptable time; see now is the day of salvation!

Oh, brothers and sisters, the grace that comes from God is true and is worth taking seriously. I pray God to bless all that I do and those whom I work with. God blesses my work and my clients. Once I am convinced of such a blessing I feel rest assured that all that is going to happen is according to God's blessing and approval, and therefore I accept all that will happen as being according to His will even if I do not understand the reasons of the outcome Amen. My prayer is "May Your will be done!" Amen.
Oh God I pray that I am always found ready to appear in Your presence, therefore every day for me is the day of my salvation Amen.
³ We are putting no obstacle in anyone's way, so that no fault may be found with our ministry, ⁴ but as servants of God we have commended ourselves in every way; through great endurance, in afflictions, hardships, calamities, ⁵ beatings, imprisonments, riots, labors, sleepless nights, hunger; ⁶ by purity, knowledge, patience, kindness, holiness of spirit, genuine love, ⁷ truthful speech, and the power of God; with the weapons of righteousness for the right hand and for the left; ⁸ in honor and dishonor, in ill repute and good repute. We are treated as impostors, and yet are true; ⁹ as unknown, and yet are well known; as dying, and see-we are alive; as punished, and yet not killed; ¹⁰ as sorrowful, yet always rejoicing; as poor, yet making many rich; as having nothing, and yet possessing everything.

Oh God, my Father, even though as a human I am a weak person both in body and in spirit, I would like to commend myself totally to You. I pray for Your help because the spirit is willing however the body and the material world put obstacles in my way all the time Amen. However, if it is Your will then it shall be done Amen.
¹¹ We have spoken frankly to you Corinthians; our heart is wide open to you.

Oh God, my Father, I thank You for having such an open heart that is loving and compassionate and ready to welcome even those who do not believe in You. Thank You, Jesus.
¹² There is no restriction in our affections, but only in yours. ¹³ In return I speak as to children open wide your hearts also.

Oh God, my Father, these words are also for us and not for the Corinthians. You are personally telling us that You have no restrictions on how much You love us but we do have boundaries. If we love our families, property, wealth, career, ambitions, we are placing a condition in our relationship with You, who shows us unconditional love even though as sinners we do not deserve it Amen.
¹⁴ Do not be mismatched with unbelievers. For what partnership is there between righteousness and lawlessness? Or what fellowship is there between light and darkness? ¹⁵ What agreement does Christ have with Beliar? Or what does a believer share with an unbeliever?

Oh, brothers and sisters, this verse makes us aware of the need to be choosy in whom we consider as being our friends. I pray for good judgement and discernment to find friends in positive people and also people who already have a good relationship with You and You with them Amen.
¹⁶ What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For we are the temple of the living God; as God said, "I will live in them and walk among them, and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. ¹⁷ Therefore come out from them, and be separate from them, says the Lord, and touch nothing unclean; then I will welcome you, ¹⁸ and I will be your father, and you shall be my sons and daughter says the Lord Almighty."

Oh, brothers and sisters what greater assurance can we ever be given apart from this. God is making a commitment to me and you that He will always be with us and that from our side, we are to keep away from evil ways. Oh God, my Father, with Your help we can overcome the evil in us. I pray that You blow Your Holy Spirit over the World and purge it free from the forces of evil Amen.
Oh God, my Father, I would like to end this meditation on the sixth chapter of the second letter of St. Paul to the Corinthians with the following prayer:-
Oh God, my Father today I pray for a global cleansing of the world from the forces of evil that stop at nothing but to see us unhappy and in conflict with each other and with ourselves and most of all with You. I pray that You evict the evil spirits that are found in many walks of life, so that we can then experience Your love and peace to the fullest Amen
